traffic - bad traffic? good traffic? - Step 2

What is bad and good traffic?

Thats a question every webmaster needs to answer himself. Some webmasters do well with the traffic which appear bad to you, others will have the same traffic you have and never do a sale.
It depends on the site you offer to them. Is it quality? Is it crappy? Does my site look professional & trustable?

The best traffic resource is fresh traffic, traffic from search engines. It's a hard game to learn how to get the right tags & descriptions, the details to get a high ranking on them.
Sure, you also can pay a search engine to get the top ranking you desire! But you can also get nice traffic from them for free! Just be honest with your descriptions, keywords and tags. Remember! A surfer who is looking for teens probably never will join your site if you promote old women ...

But if you're not the crack to optimize your sites at yourself, there are also tools and paid services who build your sites SE friendly and even submitt them to the engines. But, try it yourself first, you'll see a small piece of how these machines work.

TGP's can send you many hits for a period after got accepted there. The CTR (Click Through Ratio) is lower then the CTR from a freesite, but a hit to sponsor is a hit to sponsor = maybe a sale!
Follow their rules strickly and you will probably be listed there then.

LL's deliver the better traffic, but there is also more afford with designing your site, reading the important rules (they are mostly different from the rules of the TGP's)

Old school traffic: trade it!
Send an email to some webmasters and ask them for a link exchange, some will never answer, some will decline your proposition, and others will say that they would test a trading with you.
But I think, you should trade with smaller site owners first - they are on the level like you, have the same ammount of traffic like you.
Imagine if you trade 30 hits per day with them first. Make 10 of such trades and you'll have a daily trade of 300 hits / day!
The more hits you get to a site, the more you can deal with trading to bigger webmasters :)
